Daren Moore

Daren is a partner with Price Bailey, a top 35 regional firm of accountants. He heads up their corporate team in the region, providing support and advice to a range of businesses in Norfolk.

Daren specialism is in the owner managed and entrepreneurial business markets. He deals with a number of aspirational and high growth companies and provides advice on strategy, structure, financial management, profitability, acquisition, value creation and exit management.

Craig Douglas

Craig is an engagement leader in the Assurance practice at PwC’s Norwich office. Having initially trained as an auditor, Craig then worked in Corporate Finance and Transaction Services gaining experience of Mergers & Acquisitions work, corporate restructuring and refinancing assignments.

Craig also spent a period of time in industry as the Finance Director of a design, manufacturing and distribution company, principally overseeing the transfer of manufacturing operations to a lower cost environment, before returning to the accounting profession.

Craig looks after a number of clients across the region from listed companies through to family owned businesses.

Colin Denny

Colin is the Deputy Area Commercial Director for HSBC Bank’s commercial offering in Norfolk and the Waveney Valley, where they mainly look after business customers with a sales turnover between £2m & £30m, although he also has contacts with the Local Business managers, who look after the smaller business customers in the catchment area. (The team also incorporates a specialist Agricultural team, looking after farmers across East Anglia).

In his role at HSBC, Colin assists the lending managers to structure deals to satisfy customer borrowing needs, whilst also ensuring credit quality is maintained in terms of lending responsibly and properly to ensure affordability is demonstrated.

Colin is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (FCIB) and volunteered to become a mentor under the British Bankers Association scheme re project Merlin and via NWES in 2012 hope to progress with hands-on help to some businesses in 2012.

Robert Todd

Robert Todd (RICS) DipProjMan MCIAT MAPM,  Managing Partner at Feilden + Mawson Architects. He leads the firm’s work in the Commercial, Housing & Partnering sectors and specializes in the management of Design & Build contracts and fast-track projects.  Robert joined F+M in 1985 and, building on the experience of a number of Design & Build contracts, he successfully progressed into project management and PFI. He now provides a combination of both project management and technical skills

Robert was seconded to the Norfolk Police Authority as Client Technical Advisor on their new operations and communication centre at Wymondham, he has also successfully managed and delivered fast-track projects such as new distribution and call centres for one of the UK’s largest toy companies and for Start Rite Shoes, new car showrooms for BMW, Mini and Porsche on a gateway site into Norwich, large-scale offices in Cambridge and the Fellowes Plain housing development on the former hospital site in Norwich.

Currently, he is acting as internal project manager on the campus redevelopment at the National Construction College at Bircham Newton and leading the team on the redevelopment of the facilities for Lotus Group at Hethel in Norfolk.

Chair – Jonathan Cage

Jonathan is a Chartered Civil Engineer possessing over 23 years of experience in working with both Private Sector and Public Sector clients solving technical property and infrastructure problems and providing specialist advice on transportation, flood, energy, utilities, infrastructure, drainage, CDM, water supply and project management.

Jonathan is Managing Director of Create Consulting – a dynamic, new engineering and environmental consultancy providing support on all technical aspects of land and property development. Create’s successful combination of a wide range of experienced technical expertise coupled with a personal service is delivering practical engineering and environmental advice across the UK and is now actively seeking opportunities further afield.

Create’s multi-disciplinary approach to engineering and environmental consulting has brought it a number of prestigious national and local clients, resulting in Create successfully and rapidly increasing its turnover. The company has expanded into London and is also eyeing the Cambridge market, amongst others.

Create is working within the knowledge sector and puts sustainability at the heart of all it does, whether for clients or for itself. It is positioning itself to become a major business over the next few years and is committed to remaining in Norwich, with bespoke new premises that operate to the highest energy standards.

Jonathan is a member of the Board for the Norfolk Chambers of Commerce and holds sector responsibility for Transport, Planning and Construction as the Chair of the Chamber’s Planning & Development Group. 

Jonathan is also the Norfolk Chambers Representative for the New Anglia LEP Transport Forum.

Jonathan was enormously proud for Create to be awarded the accolade of the EDP Best New Business Award for 2011.

James Allen

James Allen, BA FRICS, is Senior Partner of Norwich-based Roche Chartered Surveyors, the largest specialist firm of commercial property consultants in Norfolk. He advises clients in respect of commercial property agency, investment and development matters, primarily in the office, industrial and warehouse markets as well as providing strategic advice to occupiers in these areas. As a firm, Roche is active in all commercial property sectors and was the highest ranked single-office firm in East Anglia in 2011 in the Estates Gazettes Interactive rankings of deals.

James has been involved in the successful development of Broadland Business Park since its inception and acts for the owners of numerous office buildings and industrial estates throughout the region.  He qualified as a Chartered Surveyor with Norwich Union (now AVIVA) and joined Roche in 1989, becoming a partner in 1991.

Ian Fox

Ian qualified in May 1989 as a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and has over 25 years of property experience. Ian gained considerable experience with Savills, Drivers Jonas and six years with Chesterton Plc as a Director. During this time, he covered all aspects of commercial property including freehold and leasehold disposal and acquisition, and strategic asset management advice for a wide range of corporate and private clients.

Ian was with private property company Targetfollow from 2000 – 2011, where he became Managing Director of Property and Development with overall responsibility for running the Group’s portfolio of 60 assets. Reporting to the board and managing 6 departments, Ian had direct accountability for the property, development & project management, facilities management, technology and marketing departments.

During this time Ian was directly involved in the acquisition of over £500 million of property assets, the management of over 700 tenants and the delivery of major development projects.

Ian’s remit also encompassed Managing Director of Targetspace, a company providing high quality serviced office space. Targetspace employed a team of 20 people and managed over 1,400 workstations in four different locations.
