Carter Energy Consulting specialises in reducing energy consumption. I do this by undertaking detailed energy audits which scrutinise everything that consumes energy. We have over 20 years’ experience in the industry. I have a wide range of commercial clients, from Manufacturing to hotels and leisure, to NHS to scientific/horticulture, to schools and aerospace.
I typically identify energy savings of 20% as a minimum. For some of my clients I have found a lot more. I don’t just undertake energy audits I can also provide project management support delivering energy reduction projects.
I love the variety each industry brings. Recently we have undertaken work for a number of manufacturing clients. I have found that no two manufacturing clients are the same. Every manufacturing client provides fresh challenge and learning. Which enables me to improve as an energy auditor and then apply that improved knowledge to the next client.

SERVICE OFFER
Connecting people aged 18+ who face barriers to work to entry-level energy transition jobs and apprenticeships.
Every service user who participates in the programme will be given a dedicated Employability Coach who will offer tailored one-to-one support. This support will consist of employability upskilling such as CV building, cover letter writing, interview skills, wellbeing support (including confidence and motivation exercises), and employer expectation support (including interview clothing and journey preparation).
They will then take part in a series of Insight to Energy Transition Opportunities workshops, over the course of four weeks. These focus on what energy transition jobs look like, examples of industries that comply, and the positive changes that energy transition opportunities can bring.
Our support does not end once a participant is placed into a role. We will meet with participants on a monthly basis to discuss any barriers that they may be facing, and to provide financial support with travel expenses.

Anyone living in Norfolk who is aged 18 and above and has at least one barrier to employment.

Centre 81 is a Great Yarmouth based charity that operates a skills & activities centre where people with physical and other disabilities access services such as counselling and personal care (personal pampering) and enjoy activities such as cooking, IT, music and drama. In keeping with its core values of integration, wherever possible members take part in activities in the community, including swimming, sailing, bowling, art exhibitions, photography and fun sports, and play a part in organising these.Centre 81 also operates a fully-accessible community transport service for people with disabilities and others unable to use traditional public transport.
