Zoological Society of East Anglia

The Zoological Society of East Anglia (ZSea) is a registered charity founded in 2013; the ultimate beneficiaries of all that we do, with support, are the animals in our care and wildlife conservation.

ZSea has taken into its fold Banham Zoo, which was established in 1968, and Africa Alive! (formerly Suffolk Wildlife Park). Through ZSea both parks are now operated on a ‘not for profit’ basis; acknowledging the people of East Anglia, as well as visitors to the region, for their valued support for over 40 years. The two parks are at the heart of family life, welcoming over 350,000 visitors each and every year. It is only through the generous support of our visitors and sponsors that we can continue the vital work of ZSea and its dedication to animal care and welfare, education and conservation. Continued support is vital to help us make a difference by not only supporting the conservation of the animals in our care and animals in the wild, but also encouraging and inspiring a greater understanding about the world’s wealth of wildlife.
