Offshore Decommissioning Event, in association with DECC & Decom North Sea
If Well Plug and Abandonment along with reducing costs and collaboration is high on your company’s agenda then you cannot afford to miss this unique opportunity to hear about what can be done to make this happen.
EEEGR, in partnership with DECC and Decom North Sea, is delighted to be holding an event that will provide companies the chance to hear from Operators and Tier 1 Supply chain companies on the importance of finding ways to reduce the ever increasing cost of Offshore Decommissioning.
A number of Operators have confirmed their attendance at the event, including ConocoPhillips, Tullow Oil PLC, Shell & Centrica. Contractors attending will include; Helix, Bibby Offshore, Schlumberger, Seajacks and OIS Ltd.
The challenge of reducing costs is a major objective for the UK Oil and Gas sector for both Industry and Government. It is a very complex area with a large scope of work and the best way to approach such a challenge is to break it down into specific key areas.
For this event the main focus will be on Well Plug and Abandonment and with approximately 500 wells in the Southern North Sea, which could potentially be decommissioned in the next 5 years, there is a real opportunity for collaborative working between companies.
Decommissioning costs reduction and collaboration are both action areas in Sir Ian Wood’s UKCS Maximising Recovery Report and this event is an important starting point to show how companies can work together for the benefit of the Oil and Gas Industry.
The agenda for the event is shown below. Following the presentations there will be an important one to one engagement session, which will provide an excellent opportunity to engage directly with the main purchasers.
