We are offering our clients the opportunity to learn about the complex subject of Partial Exemption in a workshop environment. The workshop is designed to build up knowledge and understanding of the subject from a basic start point, as well as offering practical tips on VAT planning involving the subject.
A presentation on the concept and rules will be followed by a case study which will test your understanding. You will be able to work in teams and the team achieving the correct answer in the shortest time will win a prize.
Whether you are planning to sell your business or not, maximising the value of the business is a must. This half day seminar, presented by ourselves and Prism Corporate Broking, will take you through 6 essential elements to transform your future by building value – and thereby attractiveness to potential acquirers. You will also hear from a CEO about what it is really like to go through the acquisition process.
This event is aimed at owners/senior managers of private businesses. Whilst the content will be of more immediate interest to those planning to sell, we would like to stress that the underlying theme is about building value in the business and is therefore entirely pertinent to those with longer time horizons to an exit. The event is also likely to be of interest to those considering acquisitions as it gives insights into what is of value to an acquirer and how valuations are made.
Outline programme:
• Review of the market • Six essential elements to build value • Buying a business – my perspective • Adding value through the process • Valuation • From a legal perspective • Key stages in the process • Summary, questions and close
What will you gain from it?
• Discover who’s buying who and what’s hot • Find out the six things you need to know to build the value of your business • Find out what it is really like going through the acquisition process from a CEO • Understand how valuations are made in practice
The seminar will be held at the Ashton KCJ office in Norwich, Meridian Way, Broadland Business Park.
Bookings will be taken on a first come, first served basis, subject to availability. Due to the nature of this event, we respect the fact that some attendees may wish to maintain a degree of anonymity. We will not therefore be issuing name badges nor will we be publishing or otherwise circulating attendee lists. Whilst there will inevitably be some opportunities to network for those who wish so to do, the programme is not structured with this intent.
This event has now sold out – why not check out our other upcoming networking events? Enjoy a morning of networking over breakfast as we bring over 80 businesses together at Dragon Hall, the home of the National Centre for Writing, to build new relationships through networking ice breakers. We are delighted to partner with the National Centre for Writing for the morning. We will be in their beautiful venue, the 15th century Dragon Hall, soaking up history and hearing from their Chief Executive, Chris Gribble and Hannah Garrad, Programme Manager. Chris and Hannah will talk about the vital impact culture has on the local, regional and national economy. The National Centre launched in 2018 but the organisation has a much longer history, having led the bid for Norwich to be recognised as a UNESCO City of Literature in 2012. Their work focuses around three aims; Learning – working with young people across Norwich & Norfolk to encourage a life-long love of books and stories through projects such as Poems in Care Homes and the Young Norfolk Writing Competition. Through their Artistic aim, they work with upcoming writers and translators providing mentoring and support and finding new ways to engage people with literature. Through Place they seek to celebrate Norwich as a world-leader for creative writing, and develop tourism projects designed to support the local economy – such as their annual crime writing festival, Noirwich, which attracts hundreds of visitors to Norwich each year.
