Kick it off and throw it in at a very special game to celebrate the Norwich City Hall of Fame legend Terry (The Count) Allcock.
Legends from local rivals Dereham Town and Fakenham Town will be competing to win the prestigious Cozens Cup at the special Terry Allcock Celebration Game at Aldiss Park, home of Dereham Town FC on Sunday 27 October – 10:30 kick off.
The game has an added edge as the club rivalry that goes back decades and is being repeated this year as both play in the same league.
Before his career ended Terry went on to play 389 games for Norwich. His 127 goals for the club place him second on City’s all-time goalscoring list.
After he finished in the professional game Terry was a much-loved figure in local football, as manager of Dereham Town and Norfolk County FA’s youth teams. It’s fair to say that his legacy means that he is still remembered fondly through Norfolk.
A real all round sportsman Terry also found time to play 45 times for Norfolk County Cricket Club, scoring 1470 runs and being involved in 93 dismissals from his position as wicket keeper – his appearances were restricted by his football duties.

They are proud to have been entrusted by the Allcock family, led by Terry’s eldest son Mark (also an ex Dereham Town and Norfolk County player) to stage this game, and welcome the opportunity to use the game to highlight the cruel illness that dementia is.
After the match their will be the unveiling of a plaque in Terry’s memory and a display of ‘The Count’s’ memorabilia, kindly supplied by the Allcock family and others.
Teas/coffees, soft drinks and other refreshments will be available in the clubhouse and to coincide with the event Wolf Brewery will launching their very own Allcock Ale at the game.
The main auction prize will be an authenticated signed shirt by CR7 himself, world soccer superstar Christiano Ronaldo. There will be raffle prizes donated by local businesses and a tombola for younger people.
