Most successful businesses, large or small, are built on well managed intangible assets like intellectual property (IP). Businesses create and use IP all the time, perhaps without realising it. Whether it is the name of your company, branded products, website or even marketing materials, the value of IP can far outweigh the value of your physical assets.This interactive session, facilitated by Gary Townley of the Intellectual Property Office, is designed to support small business owners, their marketing staff, business advisers, accountantsand a variety of professional bodies.
In this third masterclass in our series for business owners and managers looking to develop their skills we will turn our attention to the importance and value of your brand with Mark Harvey from MH Consulting. Your brand is your most valuable business asset. Find out why brand is not your ‘logo’ and how modern businesses grow by using their brands. This is not a creative presentation, but a commercial session for businesses looking to maximise their growth potential. We’ll explore what brand is, how modern brands work and what practical things you can do to ensure your brands health and help you to drive growth in your business.

BUSINESS SUMMIT Friday 2nd March, Diss Golf Club 9am-midday Chaired by Richard Bacon, MP
Seven parishes are working together to lead development of a Neighbourhood Plan for Diss and the surrounding Area ;
Creative and forward-thinking solutions are required to solve key issues affecting all of us;
Our Neighbourhood Plan is probably unique – requiring South Norfolk, Mid Suffolk, Norfolk and Suffolk councils to work together in new ways;
An opportunity to tackle the ‘Twilight Zone’ where Diss and north Suffolk lose out on the investment that delivers growth and strong communities.
Your opportunity to influence the future growth of the Diss & District Area for the next 15+ years.
We need to take a strategic approach by promoting business and the local economy as the key economic driver in the Plan, alongside an appropriately skilled workforce and housing, services and infrastructure.
This Business Summit is part of a wider public consultation running until 16th March, where every address in the seven parishes – home or business – should receive an explanatory brochure and questionnaire.
‘YOUR OPPORTUNITY – YOUR VOICE – YOUR PLAN’ BY WORKING TOGETHER WE CAN ACHIEVE SO MUCH MORE
