Enjoy a morning of networking over breakfast and hear from our guest speaker, Paul Ward of Solace Coaching. Solace Coaching was founded in 2015 by Paul, a personal development coach with experience working with a variety of clients both in business and on a personal basis. Paul has an extensive background in management, both in-role and on an advisory basis. If you know motivates you, then why aren’t you doing it? Whether you are running your own business or working within one the chances are you chose to do what you are doing. However, do you have days when motivation just seems out of reach? Why is that? What is going on? If you know what does and what doesn’t motivate you, it puts you in control of the way in which you see your world. If you have control, then you become response-able regarding how you feel even when dealing with the more challenging tasks required of you.

Coleman Opticians will be opening the practice to the public and are inviting you to a special, behind-the-scenes optometry evening at the practice on St Augustines Street. 

There will be demonstrations of the latest technology in optics, spectacle frames and lenses.

With the increased use of screen time and VDU use, it’s more important than ever to be aware of what we put our eyes through on a daily basis – at 7pm there will be a short talk on how to help protect your vision from the blue light and the fatigue of our new working habits and lifestyles presented by David Tuthill of Coleman Opticians.

There will be an opportunity after his speech to put your questions to him.

Suren oversees the British Chambers of Commerce’s economic thought leadership work and is a regular media commentator on the latest economic trends, he also leads on the British Chambers’ policy work on access to finance and tax. His wide ranging background in economics gives him a unique perspective.

John Dolan will be our speaker at the breakfast. John joins us from the ERSOU (Eastern Region Special Operations Unit) Counter Terrorist Police. John has worked with as a CTSA (Counter terrorism security adviser) for the past 9 years working in the field of counter terrorism both in the investigations and protective security arena. John asks “How could the business community cope with a terrorist incident? How prepared are you? What would you do if you were caught up in a terrorist incident? Would your business survive afterwards? How would your business and community react to action and affect of a terrorist incident?” This briefing will highlight the options and resources available for your businesses and the community to be better placed to mitigate the effects of an attack.

Creative Arts East will be our charity for the event and is an arts and community development charity, which focuses on engaging those communities, or their members, who face geographical, physical or other barriers to participating in the cultural life of their area.
