This enjoyable and dynamic course is aimed at providing employees with practical familiarisation and experience of the fire fighting equipment that is provided at their workplace. This course is delivered by qualified fire fighters that have extensive fire fighting experience. As an employer it will assist you to fulfil your Health and Safety duties under The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 Section 9 and The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
We will provide delegates with the opportunity to understand the uses and limitations of equipment like extinguishers and fire hoses, in addition to the general issues regarding fire safety.
During the practical side of the course, delegates will have the opportunity to safely use a range of fire extinguishers on our live fire training rig.

Who is this qualification for?
This qualification is aimed at workers in the food industry, such as;

How Is The Course Delivered?
Delegates will participate in two live “Zoom” sessions, interspersed with a series of self-directed (but supervised) “blended learning” activities and case studies. You will still engage with RedCat’s usual blend of engaging and interactive training methods.
How is the Course Assessed?
For the assessment, delegates will Delegates will need to complete a 30-question, multiple choice test on their own PC. Pass mark is 18 marks, distinction is 24 marks. Delegates require a reasonable internet connection, an isolated space with NO disruptions, a PC with webcam (the invigilator will be watching) and a Smart Phone (so you can video your surroundings and proof of identity).

Why This Course?
This focus of this course is in developing, implementing, monitoring and verifying food safety procedures. It will cover a wider range of food safety hazards, to a greater depth, than Level 3 courses. This course is an important step towards our client businesses become more self-sufficient with food safety management. Ultimately it helps to protect your brand and your customers’ confidence in your products and services.
Who’s Suitable?
Owners & managers of larger/multi-site catering or manufacturing business, especially where food safety management systems are bespoke. How Is This Course Delivered?
There’s no substitute for a traditional classroom-based course for Level 4 (Zoom just doesn’t cut it here). The course is delivered at our No.8 training facilities where we have a full range of COVID-19 controls in place. This is a challenging course, equivalent to Foundation/1st Year Degree level studies, so a degree of self-study will be required. There are five, 1-day sessions, followed by an assessment on a 6th day; assessment is a 2.5 hour-long mix of mutli-choice questions (but tought ones!) and long-answer questions.

Aim; This qualification provides those in managerial and supervisory positions with appropriate knowledge and understanding of health and safety hazards, controls, and their management. It is also suitable for those wishing to deliver CIEH health and safety qualifications as part of their training provision.
