5 April 2015 will see a radical change to the way prospective parents can elect to take time off work following the birth of their baby, or the placement of an adoptive child. Employers will need to review their existing policies and procedures now to ensure they are fully prepared.
In this HR Forum we will examine in detail the new entitlement for parents to take shared parental leave, and consider some of the practical difficulties that may arise. We will also review existing entitlements to maternity and paternity leave and consider how the new arrangements for shared leave will fit with those existing rights.
