Chamber Team

Tom Walker

Tom Walker (AKA ‘The Prodigy’)

Norfolk Chambers sets out to connect, support and give voice to its members and the wider business community – what is your role in this mission?

My role in the chambers’ mission is to provide support for businesses in need. I aim to provide help to the best of my ability utilising all of which I have learned. This way the chamber can continue to grow and thrive as more businesses connect with each other and with our help contribute to the larger business community.

How can you help businesses?

I hope to bring businesses an additional set of hands and eyes to help wherever needed, for the international trade team here in the Chambers I aim to support them in their work to ensure smooth day-to-day running of operations.

Your special power is being calm and collected – how have you honed this skill?

Previous work experience has allowed me to hone my skills of being dependable under pressure and has ensured my resilience in times of stress. I believe being calm and collected is a useful asset to have as it allows me to think more clearly when faced with a problem.

Your ‘Kryptonite’ is a takeaway – do you have a favourite and what happens to you when faced with a takeaway?

A good takeaway is unbeatable, when faced with one it is almost always cause for celebration.

Your motto ‘life moves on’ –what does this mean?

When I say this, it refers to the fact that however you start your day and whatever you choose to do with it, the day continues, and it is up to you to make the most out of it. In business terms, this can be accredited to giving 100% into your work as it is your duty to fulfil each day in the most progressive way possible.

Ben Field

Ben Field (AKA ‘The Stealthy One’)

Norfolk Chambers offers a lot of support, advice, and resources to its members – what is your role in this mission?

To support the delivery of the LSIP in keeping the chambers involvement organised and clear to help deliver the goals and objectives set out and providing a platform for training provision and employers to work together more closely.

How can you help businesses?

I can help businesses by connecting with them to understand their needs in the workforce and giving feedback to the LSIP team to deliver the plan and align training provision and workforce skills.

Your special power is calm under pressure – how does this help?

I don’t panic when given something with high pressure – this helps because it means I am always able to produce work to a good quality

Your weaknesses are Jägerbombs – what happens when you get one of these?

I cant remember.

Your motto is “Whatever happens, happens.” – what does this mean for you?

Everything happens for a reason, you can’t change what has happened. Its all about how you react to it to make the best out of the situation whether it be good or bad.

Andrea Wilson

Andrea Wilson (AKA The Connector)

Norfolk Chambers sets out to connect, support and give voice to its members and the wider business community – what is your role in this mission?

I am the Co.nnector, my role is to make sure that businesses are getting the most from their membership, enabling them to connect with businesses they have a synergy with showing them new ways in which to engage and connect.

As The Co.nnector in the team, how can you help businesses?

Give me your wish list, who would you like to connect with, what goals have you got and how can I enable you to reach them.

Your special power is being small but with a big personality – how do you think this helps the Chamber Team and why is this important?

Haha! Well I’d hope that my big personality comes across as helpful, friendly, approachable and above all enthusiastic – as for the ‘being small’ it means that on “hug a tall person day”, I have the choice of everyone to hug, because everyone is taller than me (pre and post Covid of course!)

Your ‘Kryptonite’ is sweet treats, wine and holidays – what happens to you when faced with these?

When I have sweet treats it makes me happy, when I have wine it makes me chatty and when I have holidays it makes me relax so that when I come back I’m refreshed and ready for the next exciting instalment!

Your motto ‘Always Look On The Bright Side’ – How has this mantra helped you? How can it help businesses?

I always try to find a positive in every situation because generally there is one, even if it doesn’t feel like it at the time, we are amazing human beings and we are so resilient, with the right mind set you can achieve whatever you want.  So my mantra is always look for the positives in any situation and focus on those instead of the negatives, you will achieve so much more and it will make you feel so much better.
